Loosing or Holding onto Hope, waiting on a miracle?

Why is it that we find it hard to hold on to hope/trust god when we are in waiting? Aren't we like that, this includes me too. This hits hard when we've prayed and prayed for something specific and don't see an answer, don't hear from the lord and it feels like you're loosing it.

We forget what the Lord's doing and done in our lives because our waiting seems longer than we would have expected it to be so we doubt if the Lord will show up.

This is the time one needs to hold on to the truth- God's word the Bible. His word is full of his promises John 14:1 "Do not let your hearts be troubled.." to trust in the Lord. Easy said than done?

Psalm 20:7 encourages us to trust in the name of the Lord. "Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God."

I was thinking about the 'waiting' and the importance of trusting and holding on to the Lord and heard this new song "Waitin' on a miracle"

Our hearts get weary so fast because we are so used to everything being instant but its all worth the wait because the Lord is in control even when we are on the verge of giving up. In all this its important to look to Jesus and surrender to him completely...even if our waiting in longer, when the answer finally arrives, it is worth the wait and the Miracle is here..
