I know that I am still in an often vilified minority, but to me at least this recognition of the beauty and complexity of nature is SO much better than anything imagined about the Gods or their God-like  behaviors.

I am sometimes compelled to feel sympathy for those who must view the world around them through the prism of religious faith.  As if they simply cannot enjoy the magnificence of nature without assigning a creator to help them to make sense for that which seems to overwhelm them.

But hey, that's just me.
