I have so much on my mind that I want to blog.. just finding time to do it after a busy week.. :)

Lately I've been reading the books of Acts from the bible. I did the study of Acts twice, at my church and our student fellowship on campus but, I learn something new every time. I guess that's the power of god's word teaching us something new every time we read it.

I'm just fascinated by the character of "Peter" in the first few chapters. I mean, what he was like and how he is after he's touched by god' power. You wonder if this is the same Peter who denied the Lord when he was arrested.
I was looking at the last chapter in John's gospel where the Lord reinstates Peter:

Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.”- Jhn 21:15b

Then he said to him, “Follow me!”- Jhn 21:19b

Now, when you start reading the book of Acts, you're like.. Is this the same Peter? .. This changed man, touched by the Holy spirit, standing addressing the crowd, sharing the good news about Jesus.. no fear, proclaiming that Jesus is the Lord!!...wooowww!!!...

Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd:..- Acts 2:14a

Later you see Peter along with John at the temple healing the crippled and addresses the people who were astonished by what just happened..

15 You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this. 16 By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus’ name and the faith that comes through him that has completely healed him, as you can all see - Acts 3: 15-16

As you keep reading, we see how Peter stands for the Lord in all situations, leading the group of believers, honoring the lord, proclaiming the word of the Lord and doing exactly what the Lord had ordained him to do. Living a life that the Lord had called him to live.

Its just amazing how god's power can change a person from inside out. Its not by the works of our hands but it is he (Jesus) who makes us what we are meant to be. And its his spirit which gives us boldness to stand for him where ever he's placed us to honor him.

Once we let Jesus take over our lives, he leads us and gives us the strength to stand for him..

Peter, a fisherman who feared to a changed man for the Lord!!!
