Homeless at the signal..

What do you do when you're waiting at a signal and watch a homeless person standing at the side looking at your window waiting that you would give them something??

I get confused sometimes, thinking if this person asking for money has the right words (truth) on the sheet of paper they are holding... sometimes I sit at the signal asking the Lord what I should do...

Something similar happened on Sunday. The service got over at little after 12pm and I had to drop a student at the mall by then I was so hungry with pending grocery shopping..  :(

I kept debating should I go grocery shopping feeling all hungry and then go home and cook!!! or just go to the Indian restaurant near by for lunch...

Well, I decided to just go home and cook instead of eating out :)  .... I exit the freeway to go home and waiting at the signal watching 2 homeless women standing at the signal expecting something..

Ok.. now's the time I start asking the Lord.. "What do you want me to do?" ....I was like, should I ask them if they want to eat something since its lunch time so I can take them to the near by Mc Donald's and buy them some food...  I didn't get that chance, I pass the signal and thought maybe I just buy them something to eat...

I stopped at the Burger King, got some food and drove back and dropped off the food with them. It made them happy and they started eating immediately... :)

I'm driving back and kept thinking.. It was good that I didn't take the previous exit on the freeway to go to the restaurant, rather I took the correct exit to buy some food for the 2 ladies...

There are two things that I still want to do...
- I volunteered with Star of Hope once last year.. I wanted to do that once every month.. but, haven't been able to do that yet.
- Pay for someone's grocery..
