"Knowing you Jesus" by Graham Kendrick

All I once held dear, built my life upon,All this world reveres and wars to own;All I once thought gain I have counted loss,Spent and worthless now compared to this.Knowing You, Jesus, knowing YouThere is no greater thing. You're my all, You're the best,You're my joy, my righteousness,And I love You Lord. Now my heart's desire is to know You more,To be found in You and know as Yours,To possess by faith what I could not earnAll surpassing gift of righteousnessOh to know the power of Your risen life,And to know You in Your sufferings; To become like You in Your death, my Lord,So with You to live and never die.

Forgiveness by Matthew West

..heard this beautiful and powerful song on KSBJ. "Forgiveness" by Matthew West. Its hard as humans to have such heart in difficult situations, when you're hurt by someone. But, there is freedom when we do it.. "FORGIVE"...
It's the hardest thing to give away
And the last thing on your mind today
It always goes to those that don't deserve

It's the opposite of how you feel
When the pain they caused is just to real
It takes everything you have just to say the word...

Forgiveness
Forgiveness

It flies in the face of all your pride
It moves away the mad inside
It's always anger's own worst enemy
Even when the jury and the judge
Say you gotta right to hold a grudge
It's the whisper in your ear saying 'Set It Free'

Forgiveness, Forgiveness
Forgiveness, Forgiveness

Show me how to love the unlovable
Show me how to reach the unreachable
Help me now to do the impossible

Forgiveness, Forgiveness

Help me now to do the impossible
Forgiveness

It'll clear the bitterness away
It can even set a prisoner free
There is no end to what it's power can do
So, let it go and be amazed
By what you see through eyes of grace
The prisoner that it really frees is you

Forgiveness, Forgiveness
Forgiveness, Forgiveness

Show me how to love the unlovable
Show me how to reach the unreachable
Help me now to do the impossible
Forgiveness

I want to finally set it free
So show me how to see what Your mercy sees
Help me now to give what You gave to me
Forgiveness, Forgiveness

Song of Praise and Worship

"Let everything that has breath" by Matt Redman

Let everything that, everything that,
Everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Let everything that, everything that,
Everything that has breath praise the Lord.

Praise You in the morning,
Praise You in the evening,
Praise You when I'm young and when I'm old.
Praise You when I'm laughing,
Praise You when I'm grieving,
Praise You every season of the soul.
If we could see how much You're worth,
Your power, Your might, Your endless love,
Then surely we would never cease to praise.

Praise You in the heavens, joining with the angels,
Praising You forever and a day.
Praise You on the earth now, joining with creation,
Calling all the nations to Your praise.
If they could see how much You're worth,
Your power, your might, your endless love,
Then surely they would never cease to praise.

"Power of your Love" Hillsong

Lord I come to YouLet my heart be changed, renewed
Flowing from the grace
That I found in You.
And Lord I've come to know
The weaknesses I see in me
Will be stripped away
By the power of Your love.

Hold me close
Let Your love surround me
Bring me near
Draw me to Your side.
And as I wait
I'll rise up like the eagle
And I will soar with You
Your Spirit leads me on
In the power of Your love.

Lord unveil my eyes
Let me see You face to face
The knowledge of Your love
As You live in me.
Lord renew my mind
As Your will unfolds in my eyes
In living every day
by the power of Your love

I love Paul's heart for the Lord and overwhelmed by God's wisdom and power in his life.

Something that caught me while reading Thessalonians today was what a missionary's heart or someone who serves the Lord following his calling would be like.... the love that the Lord places in their heart to serve others...

This what Paul writes to the church in Thessalonica in 1 Thessalonians 2 & 3,

vs 7-8  But we were gentle among you. We were like a mother caring for her little children. We loved you so much that we were happy to share with you God's good news. We were also happy to share our lives with you. You had become very special to us.

vs 11 You know that we treated each of you as a father treats his own children.

vs 19-20 What is our hope? What is our joy? When our Lord Jesus returns, what is the crown we will delight in? Isn't it you? Yes, you are our glory and our joy

Chapter 3: 10 Night and day we pray very hard that we will see you again. We want to give you what is missing in your faith.

I wonder if this what goes on in the heart of every missionary or god's servant... love for those whom the lord placed in their lives to serve, a heart of a parent not only to love but also teach and to continually pray for them and build lasting relationships through follow ups!..

Wooww!! that's amazing.. just thinking about all my friends who are serving the lord continually...

Nothing like celebrating a weekend dedicated to independence and freedom by excluding Americans who you kind of wish had never been given their freedom.

You can read more about this racism hiding under the guise of religion here. (There is even more here, including information about their "cross lighting " ceremony. You know with fire.)

By the way it appears that some, including Chris Rock, think the holiday itself has some hidden racist overtones.

This tweet apparently caused a huge controversy.

Personally I give Chris Rock a pass on this tweet, as he is a comedian who often includes sometimes uncomfortable observations about race in his act.

For the people involved in the Christian Identity Ministries I give no such pass.

HBO planned to create movie eviscerating the head of Fox News, Roger Ailes. And then suddenly the project was dropped. Well isn't THAT interesting?

To contact us Click HERE
This was released by Deadline about a day ago:

HBO appears obsessed by GOP Conservatives. There have been movies about the 2000 Bush vs Gore election standoff and Sarah Palin and most recently a TV series featuring George W Bush’s severed head. Now HBO has done a secret deal for an Untitled Roger Ailes Project. It’s based on the upcoming manuscript by media writer Gabriel Sherman who has written two cover stories for New York magazine on Ailes and Fox News, including his mammoth article “The Elephant In The Green Room” which came out a little more than a year ago and prompted complaints from the Fox News CEO. Last year, Sherman signed a book contract with Random House which at one point was tentatively titled “The Loudest Voice in the Room: An Inside Account of the Rise of Fox News” but isn’t formally titled now. I’ve also learned that executive producing this latest HBO project are two of Ailes’ competitors: Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, the co-hosts of MSNBC‘s Morning Joe. The deal was negotiated by WME Entertainment, the Hollywood agency run by Ari Emanuel who is a Democratic activist (and the brother of Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, the former Obama White House chief of staff).

None of this has been announced yet because sources tell me Sherman is still researching the book and plans to finish writing it by the end of the summer for a 2013 publishing date. “Nothing much to say. No book yet to read. No script. We’ll wait to see what the script looks like and then decide whether to develop further,” a cagey HBO exec explained to me. It’s commonplace for Time Warner’s premier pay TV channel to sign up books before they’re published and then turn them into TV movies. In this TV movie, a source tells me, ”HBO prefers to take on Fox News through Ailes. The idea is that it should make Fox News look like a Mafia, and you get into this through Ailes, sidestepping Murdoch, not approaching the story head on.”

Wow Joe Scarborough and Mika Brezezinski, isn't THAT interesting?

Okay so I was excited and all ready to  program my DVR to make sure I did not miss this once the date of its premiere was announced.  But then....

HBO is dropping its plans to make a film on Roger Ailes and the rise of Fox News Channel.

The network had optioned film rights to work by media writer Gabriel Sherman, who is writing a book on Fox News. But HBO said Thursday that it’s not going forward with those plans, saying it wouldn’t be appropriate considering the network’s ties to Fox competitor CNN. Both HBO and CNN are owned by Time Warner.

Wait, what? So what if HBO and CNN are owned by the same company?

You know if I were a conspiracy minded person, and there is no evidence to suggest that I am, I would find myself thinking that perhaps somebody got a call from another very powerful somebody making them a deal they could not refuse. You know like News Corps the Mafia does.

You cannot tell me that there is not an audience out there that would devour this movie whole and then plead for more, because there certainly is. And since HBO is in the business of making movies, and series, which are controversial and guaranteed money makers, it seems fairly reasonable to assume that there are powerful people who simply do NOT want this movie to see the light of day.

Which of course makes ME want to see it more than ever!

President Obama, placing the needs of people over politics.

Stephanie Miller of Sandusky, Ohio cries on the shoulder of President Obama at a campaign event at Washington Park in Sandusky, Ohio. Miller’s sister died of cancer and said that Obama’s healthcare plan would have given her better treatment options.

What people sometimes forget is that President Obama risked virtually ALL of the political capital he gained after his election on getting the health care bill passed.

He is clearly not an ignorant man, and he had to know that he was in danger of losing any hope he might have had of enjoying a second term. But he did it anyhow.

Personally I think he did it because he felt it was perhaps the most important piece of legislation that he could pass during his Presidency, regardless of how damaging it might be to his chances for reelection. In other words he did not do it for political reasons, he did it for humanitarian reasons.

Did Rush Limbaugh accidentally tell the truth about how the Right Wing feels about women voters?

To contact us Click HERE
You know that did not sound like he was joking to me.

And yes I know that the conservatives have plenty of women in their ranks, like Michelle Bachmann who famously said she had to remain submissive to her husband, but that really doesn't mean anything.

Do any of us really believe that if the opportunity arose to repeal the voting rights of women and non-whites that the vast majority of male Republican lawmakers would NOT rush to the floor of House to cast their vote in support?

And if you do doubt that perhaps you need to really pay closer attention to what is happening in America right now.

Google has announced a global campaign in support of equal marriage rights for gay and lesbian couples.

The Internet giant announced its Legalize Love campaign at the Global LGBT Workplace Summit 2012, which took place in London.

The campaign launches Saturday, July 7 in Poland and Singapore. Organizers plan to expand the campaign to every country where Google has an office, focusing on countries where anti-gay sentiment runs high.

“We want our employees who are gay or lesbian or transgender to have the same experience outside the office as they do in the office,” Google's Mark Palmer-Edgecumbe is quoted by dot429.com as saying at the summit. “It is obviously a very ambitious piece of work.”

“Singapore wants to be a global financial center and world leader and we can push them on the fact that being a global center and a world leader means you have to treat all people the same, irrespective of their sexual orientation,” Palmer-Edgecumbe said of the decision to include Singapore in the campaign's initial phase.

That is awesome!

Now just think that every time some homophobic redneck dipshit tries to Google ideas for new racist tattoos he will be inadvertently supporting a company dedicated to the legalization of gay marriage.

Well I guess they could simply stop looking up information on the internet, hasn't really seemed to improve the intelligence of those people very much anyhow.

Louisiana lawmaker surprised to learn that Christianity is not the only religion in America.

"Wait, there are HOW many religions?"
Courtesy of Mobile News:

Rep. Valarie Hodges, R-Watson, says she had no idea that Gov. Bobby Jindal’s overhaul of the state’s educational system might mean taxpayer support of Muslim schools.

“I actually support funding for teaching the fundamentals of America’s Founding Fathers’ religion, which is Christianity, in public schools or private schools,” the District 64 Representative said Monday.

“I liked the idea of giving parents the option of sending their children to a public school or a Christian school,” Hodges said.

Hodges mistakenly assumed that “religious” meant “Christian.”

HB976, now signed into law as Act 2, proposed, among other things, a voucher program allowing state educational funds to be used to send students to schools run by religious groups.

Other members of the local legislative delegation, including Senator Dale Erdey, Rep. J. Rogers Pope and Rep. Sherman Mack, opposed HB976. They argued that public school funds should stay with the public schools.

Gov. Bobby Jindal’s staff pushed hard to get the educational bills approved in the early days of the session, which ended June 4.

Hodges, who represents District 64 on the northwest side of the parish, and another freshman lawmaker in the local delegation, Clay Schexnayder from Dist. 81 in the southwest, voted with the House majority in favor of HB976.

The school funding mechanism, however, did not come up for a vote until the end of the session. By then, a Muslim-based school had applied for support through the new voucher system.

During debate over the MFP (Minimum Foundation Program) funding formula, Hodges learned more about the consequences of the educational changes. She voted against the new MFP funding formula; Schexnayder voted for it.

“Unfortunately it will not be limited to the Founders’ religion,” Hodges said. “We need to insure that it does not open the door to fund radical Islam schools. There are a thousand Muslim schools that have sprung up recently. I do not support using public funds for teaching Islam anywhere here in Louisiana.”

Don't you love it when a narrow mind is forcefully expanded against its will?

"What, there's more than one type of religious school? But I just wanted to use public school funds to indoctrinate children into MY religious belief. not into one of them primitive Muslin faiths which worship the wrong gosh darn God!"

What is it that it says in the bible again, "Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."

The Palin curse lives as Romney camp steers well clear of possible female VP candidates.

Courtesy of US News:

Despite hints from Ann Romney, wife of likely Republican nominee Mitt Romney, that her husband is considering at least one woman in his vice presidential search, it's unlikely he'll actually a tap a female for the post.

That's because the long shadow of Sarah Palin still hangs over vice presidential politics, says Jennifer Lawless, director of American University's Women and Politics Institute. John McCain's decision to share the ticket with the former Alaska governor in 2008 was widely panned after a series of missteps by Palin, a relatively inexperienced politician many criticized for not being ready for the national stage.

"Whoever Romney picks, if she's a woman, would have to first demonstrate how much better than Sarah Palin she actually is, and that's not necessarily a good use of the campaign's time," Lawless says. But she adds that it is beneficial for the Romney campaign to float the idea that women are under consideration.

"Given the rhetoric regarding the 'war on women' and the fact that the Republicans are 'out of touch,' I think it's important for both parties to talk about how they actually care about women, women's plight, and think that women can be adequate leaders," Lawless says.

"Mitt Romney is ultimately going to find himself between a rock and a hard place because although it is important to demonstrate that there are qualified women who should be on the short list, the onus is then going to be on him to explain why they weren't his ultimate pick and he's not going to say, 'because I don't want voters to think of Sarah Palin,'" she says. "So he's going to have to navigate a pretty fine line and ensure that if he says that the most qualified person turns out to be a man that indeed that person is more qualified than some of the women's names who are floating around."

Lawless also says Palin will be a cautionary tale in vice presidential politics for some time.

"If the Democrats have a female nominee at some point, either as president or vice president, that could erase this," she says. "We just need another well-known, nationally publicized woman in politics to erase that image. The Democrats have a better shot at doing that than the Republicans do at this point because Sarah Palin was never on their ticket."

When I heard Ann Romney say that her husband might pick a woman for his VP, I knew for a fact that she was talking out of her ass. Or else that she was being kept COMPLETELY out of the loop.

There is NO WAY that the Republicans are going to gamble on another woman with Sarah Palin still cropping up on Facebook and reality shows to remind the American public what a colossal fuck up she was for the GOP in 2008. And besides, which serious female Republican politician would want to take that job with Klondike Kardashian still casting her icy shadow over the position?

Let's face it, Sarah Palin set women in politics back at least twenty years, and probably set the GOP women back a good fifty years. Though admittedly THAT is where the GOP men prefer them.

Here is that enthusiasm gap we keep hearing about.

Much like the last one that I featured here (Which you all enjoyed so much), this one is also an advertisement of sorts. Except it is an advertisement for the Copenhagen Phil, which in my opinion makes it somewhat less manipulative, and more about the music.

Jon Huntsman all but abandons the Republican party.

Courtesy of The Salt Lake Tribune:

Huntsman, who says he has been at every convention since 1984 when he was a delegate for Ronald Reagan, told The Salt Lake Tribune in a statement that he’s been asked repeatedly whether he would attend the August convention in Tampa, Fla., but noted that he is skipping it.

"I will not be attending this year’s convention, nor any Republican convention in the future," Huntsman said, "until the party focuses on a bigger, bolder, more confident future for the United States — a future based on problem solving, inclusiveness, and a willingness to address the trust deficit, which is every bit as corrosive as our fiscal and economic deficits."

"I encourage a return to the party we have been in the past," he said, "from Lincoln right on through to Reagan, that was always willing to put our country before politics."

While I completely disagree with Huntsman that Reagan "put country before politics," I do give him mad props for having the integrity to publicly state that his party has essentially lost their minds, and that nothing they are doing is to help their constituents any more.

Apparently, even though he had thrown his support to Mitt Romney after bowing out of the primary, Huntsman has been so upset with the Republican party, and by extension his fellow Mormon, that he was "uninvited" back in March from attending this year's convention for daring to suggest that it is time for the introduction of a  third party in this country.

Huntsman has ALWAYS been, it seems, the one GOP presidential candidate who flatly refused to pander to the paint chip eating mouth breathers who now essentially make up the base of the Republican party. Something that I have always found admirable by the way.

Activating your singleness for God

To contact us Click HERE

I was reading this article on Revive our hearts and was reminded of the message I heard couple of months back on KHCB by Dr.David Jeremiah about "activating one's singleness for the Lord". I believe it is so important that one remembers that. Till the Lord brings the right person, it is important to activate that singleness to glorify the lord. It can be through a fellowship, church, youth.... however the lord leads and where ever he's placed you :)
"All The Single Ladies! All The Single Ladies! - From Revive Our hearts
Have you ever had one of those AH-HA moments in your life? I had one of those last week as I was talking to a friend at church about her recent broken engagement. She shared with me her heartache, but also the hope of knowing that God is sovereign and He does have a plan for her life. God knew her engagement would be broken and still allowed her to go through it for a very specific reason. Although she may not understand why, she is choosing to trust God and praise Him through this storm.

She went on to explain how she is grateful that God is giving her another chance to serve Him in her single years. She looks forward to the day she will one day be married but she knows that this time of singleness, however long it may be, is a very unique time to serve God with all that she is. That is when I had my AH-HA moment.

I love ministry and I am passionate about serving God and investing in relationships, but I didn't view this time in my life as a set apart time to serve God in a very unique way. After I got home and had some time to think about it, I realized that those years from high school graduation to marriage are typically short. Most girls get married in their twenties, which means that after high school we only have on average five to seven years of singleness.

Yeah, so? Why is singleness such a big deal?

Think with me for a second. What do the majority of girls do after high school? Typically they get a job, start college, hang out with friends whenever they can, follow the latest TV shows, get a boyfriend, vacation, etc.

The majority of the time, we do not use these activities and pursuits to serve God and invest in eternity but rather we work to make ourselves feel special and important. But as Christians, shouldn't our activities after high school look any different than the world's? I want a different mindset! I am challenged to think about the few years of singleness in a new light.

What if we devoted our single years to serving in the church, planning women's events, hosting Bible studies, mentoring the young girls in our community, attending women's Bible studies, serving our families, taking over some of our parents' household tasks, preparing family meals, taking care of our grandparents, volunteering in nursing homes or crisis pregnancy centers, baby-sitting for free, writing encouraging notes to friends and family, coordinating events for our family and church, memorizing Scripture with our siblings and young ladies at the church... These are just a few of the ways we as singles can serve God and bless those in our own neck of the woods.

If God wills me to get married, that means my single years are dwindling away and will be gone before I know it. Once I get married my main ministry will be my husband, shifting my primary focus away from other things.

In Matthew 20:27–28, Jesus reminds us that we are here on this earth to serve, not to be served. As we wait for marriage, our time as single girls is ticking away. And married or not, our lives are just a vapor (James 4:14). What will you do with the time that God has given you right now? Will you spend these single years focused on yourself or serving God? Will you build your skills to serve Christ or make your name greater? Will you spend your thoughts on guys or on God?

When your single years are gone, what will you have to show with the years God has given you?"

"How great thou art"

Lord my God! When I in awesome wonder
Consider all the works thy hand hath made,
I see the stars, I hear the mighty thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed;

Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!

When through the woods and forest glades I wander
and hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees;
when I look down from lofty mountain grandeur,
and hear the brook, and feel he gentle breeze;

And when I think that God his son not sparing,
Sent him to die - I scarce can take it in,
That on the cross my burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away my sin:

When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation
And take me home- what joy shall fill my heart!
Then I shall bow in humble adoration
And there proclaim, my God, how great thou art!

Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!

For me it was in the garden
He prayed: “Not My will, but Thine.”
He had no tears for His own griefs,
But sweat drops of blood for mine.

In pity angels beheld Him,
And came from the world of light
To comfort Him in the sorrows
He bore for my soul that night.

He took my sins and my sorrows,
He made them His very own;
He bore the burden to Calvary,
And suffered and died alone.

When with the ransomed in glory
His face I at last shall see,
’Twill be my joy through the ages
To sing of His love for me.

King David's last words from 2 Samuel 23, stating how a leader should rule and the blessing that follow and what that leader is like..

Wonderful teaching for any person in a leadership role...

“The Spirit of the Lord spoke through me;
his word was on my tongue.
The God of Israel spoke,
the Rock of Israel said to me:
‘When one rules over people in righteousness,
when he rules in the fear of God,
he is like the light of morning at sunrise
    on a cloudless morning,
like the brightness after rain
that brings grass from the earth.’
